Sigma Alpha Epsilon

In April of 1892, the Missouri Beta chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded at Washington University in St. Louis. As members of the largest national fraternity in the United States, our chapter remains dedicated to embodying the ideas and beliefs of our creed, the True Gentleman. We value among other traits, honesty, compassion, humility, selflessness, and good will. Our chapter prides itself on its remarkable diversity. Our brothers are involved in all areas of academia as well as various extracurricular organizations, both on and off campus. For the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, fraternity means many different things but something we all share in common is our commitment to leaving a legacy. Recently, our chapter has experienced unparalleled maturity and growth, more than doubling in size over the past two years and in the process developing arguably the most organized internal fraternity structure on campus. Having recently won “President of the Year” and “New Member of the Year” at the Washington University Greek Awards, our motivation and enthusiasm is evident. From annual philanthropy event Dodging Depression to weekly service in the local community, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is making a presence both on and off campus. It is with great pride that the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon continue to set new goals today and invest in the promise of tomorrow.
