Kappa Sigma
The Beta-Sigma chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Washington University in St. Louis was founded in November of 1902. It quickly grew into on of the largest and most accomplished chapters at the University. In the summer of 2009 our Chapter was nationally honored with Founders’ Award of Chapter Excellence (F.A.C.E.), recognizing our outstanding Chapter management, achievement, and program development in all areas of operation. Last spring Kappa Sigma won the Burmeister cup during the University’s annual ThurtenE Carnival, an award given to the fraternity with the best overall façade in the carnival. Achieving these awards is a product of our members adhering to Kappa Sigma’s ideals which are centered around its four cornerstones: fellowship, leadership, scholarship, and service. Accomplishment of these principles is further seen by our number of brothers we have possessing leadership positions in various student groups throughout campus.
